Does Humana cover Wegovy and Zepbound?
On some plans, yes. Each employer picks whether Humana covers Wegovy and Zepbound, so two people with the same card can get different answers.
Humana's commercial formulary includes Wegovy and Zepbound at Tier 3, but anti-obesity drug coverage is employer-elected. Many employers with Humana-administered plans have not elected the weight-management drug benefit. Humana Medicare Advantage does not cover either drug for weight loss, under the federal Medicare Part D obesity exclusion.

Does Humana cover Ozempic?
Yes, with prior approval. Humana pays for Ozempic once your prescriber gets the plan to sign off.
Humana's 2026 Medicare Part D drug lists cover Ozempic for type 2 diabetes, its only FDA-approved use. Prior authorization and a quantity limit of 3 per 28 days apply, and the tier depends on the plan, tier 3 on the Humana Premier Rx PDP that we cite here and lower on some other 2026 Humana lists. Neither list applies step therapy to Ozempic. Medicare does not cover weight-loss drugs, so Part D does not cover Ozempic for that use. Wegovy is the same semaglutide at a higher dose, approved for weight loss.

Does Humana cover Mounjaro?
On some plans, yes. Humana publishes a different drug list for each plan it sells, so two people with the same insurer can get different answers.
Humana lists Mounjaro (tirzepatide) as a covered brand drug for type 2 diabetes on its 2026 Medicare Part D drug lists. Coverage terms vary by plan: on the Humana Value Rx Plan it sits on tier 3 with prior authorization and a quantity limit, while on the Humana Premier Rx Plan it is tier 3 with no prior authorization. Mounjaro is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes only, and Medicare does not cover drugs used for weight loss, so it is not covered when prescribed to lose weight. The weight-loss version of the same tirzepatide is Zepbound, which Medicare Part D also does not cover.

Does Humana cover Rybelsus?
On some plans, yes. Humana publishes a different drug list for each plan it sells, so two people with the same insurer can get different answers.
Humana is a Medicare plan, and some of its Part D drug lists cover Rybelsus for type 2 diabetes, but the tier and rules vary by plan. On 2026 plans that list it, such as HumanaChoice (PPO), Rybelsus sits on tier 3 with no prior authorization, step therapy, or quantity limit; some Humana employer plans place it on tier 2, and a few Part D drug lists (for example the Basic Rx and Value Rx PDPs) do not list it at all. Medicare does not cover Rybelsus for weight loss, and Rybelsus has no weight-loss indication. Wegovy is the semaglutide approved for weight loss.
