Does Humana cover GLP-1s in 2026?
Not for weight loss. Humana's 2026 Medicare drug lists leave the weight-loss GLP-1s off. The one covered weight-loss route is the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a CMS program that runs through December 31, 2027.

Does Humana cover Wegovy and Zepbound?
No on Humana's Medicare drug lists. Wegovy and Zepbound are not on its 2026 HumanaChoice, Premier Rx or Value Rx drug guides, and the one covered weight-loss route is the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a CMS program that ends on December 31, 2027.
The 2026 HumanaChoice, Premier Rx and Value Rx drug guides do not list either drug. Humana's Medicare page says standard Part D plans do not cover GLP-1 drugs used only for weight loss, and that Part D can cover Ozempic or Wegovy when the prescription is for diabetes or cardiovascular disease. The one covered weight-loss route is the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, a CMS program that runs to December 31, 2027.

Does Humana cover Ozempic?
Yes, with prior approval. Humana pays for Ozempic once your prescriber gets the plan to sign off.
Humana's 2026 Medicare Part D drug lists cover Ozempic for type 2 diabetes, its only FDA-approved use. The plan has to sign off, and a quantity limit of 3 pens per 28 days applies. Ozempic sits at tier 3 on the Premier Rx, Value Rx and HumanaChoice 2026 lists, and none of them makes you try another drug first. Part D does not cover drugs used only for weight loss, and Ozempic has no weight-loss approval. Wegovy is the same semaglutide at a higher dose, approved for weight loss.

Does Humana cover Mounjaro?
Yes on some plans. Humana publishes a different drug list for each plan it sells, so two people with the same insurer can get different answers.
Humana lists Mounjaro as a covered brand drug for type 2 diabetes on its 2026 Medicare Part D drug lists. Mounjaro is tirzepatide. On the Humana Value Rx Plan and the Humana Premier Rx Plan it sits at tier 3, the plan has to sign off, and a quantity limit of 2 pens per 28 days applies. The FDA approved Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes only. Part D does not cover drugs used only for weight loss, so it will not pay for Mounjaro prescribed to lose weight. Zepbound is the weight-loss form of the same tirzepatide, and Part D does not cover that either.

Yes on some plans. Humana publishes a different drug list for each plan it sells, so two people with the same insurer can get different answers.
Some of Humana's 2026 Medicare Part D drug lists cover Rybelsus for type 2 diabetes. The tier and the rules differ by plan. On the HumanaChoice (PPO) 2026 list Rybelsus sits at tier 3, the plan has to sign off, and a quantity limit of 30 tablets per 30 days applies. The Premier Rx and Value Rx standalone Part D lists do not carry it. Rybelsus has no weight-loss approval, so Part D will not cover it for weight loss. Wegovy is the semaglutide approved for weight loss.
