Does New York Medicaid pay for a GLP-1?
New York state law bars Medicaid from paying for a drug whose only purpose is weight loss. The NYRx list revised July 16, 2026 carries two narrow exceptions, Wegovy with diagnosed heart disease and Zepbound with diagnosed sleep apnea.
