The White House regulatory office lists the filing from HHS and the FDA as received on October 14, at the notice stage, pending review. Its identifier is RIN 0910-ZD94. The listing gives the title and nothing more: no list of peptides and no start date. A notice is not a final rule, and nothing changes for pharmacies until the White House clears it and the FDA publishes the text.
STAT reported, citing people familiar with the plan, that the policy would tell compounding pharmacies the FDA will not pursue them for making certain peptides. The listing itself does not say that.
The FDA keeps a list it calls category 2: bulk ingredients it says may present significant safety risks in compounding. BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, GHK-Cu for injection and 13 other substances now sit on that page under the heading for substances whose nominations were withdrawn. The agency's note on BPC-157 still reads: "FDA has identified no, or only limited, safety-related information for the proposed routes of administration." None of these peptides is an FDA-approved drug.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide are peptides too. The listing does not name them, and this filing does not change how they are sold.
If you came here for a GLP-1 and not a recovery peptide, the cheapest route on our chart is a telehealth program that bundles the visit and the medication into one monthly price. Collective holds that row at $76 a month, with the $199 yearly membership averaged in. It sells compounded semaglutide, a pharmacy-made version that is not FDA-approved and is not Wegovy or Ozempic. For a brand-name drug the lowest price we track is $299 a month, for the Wegovy pill at the maintenance dose, bought from the drugmaker. What compounded GLP-1s are and what they cost covers the pharmacy-made route in full.
We will update this page when the FDA publishes the policy. Prices on the chart were last checked on October 12, 2026. Compare what 28 programs charge this week.
