Novo Nordisk says Wegovy pill self-pay prices run $149 to $299 a month, and raises its 2026 outlook

Novo Nordisk, the maker of Wegovy and Ozempic, published its financial report for the first nine months of 2026 on November 4. The report says Wegovy pill "self-pay prices range from USD 149–299 per month by dose," which matches the range a patient pays at NovoCare, Novo's own pharmacy.

The pill is the story of the quarter. Novo reports about 3.6 million Wegovy pill prescriptions in the third quarter and more than 8 million since launch. It says growth came from patients new to GLP-1 drugs and from the self-pay channel across all doses, as well as from the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, which began on July 1, 2026. More than 30% of weekly US prescriptions are now for the two highest doses, 9 mg and 25 mg.

The report also raises Novo's outlook. Adjusted sales growth and adjusted operating profit growth for 2026 are now expected to be -2% to +2% at constant exchange rates, up from the range given in August, and Novo ties the change to higher expectations for GLP-1 product sales.

Novo's chief executive said the company is preparing for a US launch of CagriSema in early 2027, subject to regulatory approval. The report gives no US price for CagriSema, so there is no figure to compare yet. The pipeline page tracks CagriSema and the other late-stage GLP-1 drugs with the dates the companies have given.

Novo also says lower realised prices, including those under its most-favoured-nation pricing agreement with the US administration, partly offset volume growth in the quarter.
