What the Foreign Service brochure says

The cost share for GLP-1 medications prescribed for an anti-obesity indication will increase to 50% coinsurance, with no deductible, at in-network pharmacies and out-of-network pharmacies outside the 50 United States. Members will continue to pay 100% of the cost at out-of-network pharmacies within the 50 United States.

  • Inside the 50 states, an out-of-network pharmacy still means you pay all of the cost.
  • The EncircleRx program runs through Teladoc Health and is mandatory.
  • The brochure asks for four documented weigh-ins and four app engagements a month to keep receiving the drug.

The brochure says some medications need a coverage review first, so confirm yours before you fill it abroad.
