What is GLP-1 titration?

Titration means raising a GLP-1 dose in steps, usually every four weeks, until you reach the dose you stay on. It exists to limit nausea and other stomach side effects.

The labelled steps

Wegovy pens go 0.25, 0.5, 1, 1.7, then 2.4 mg. Zepbound starts at 2.5 mg and adds 2.5 mg every four weeks, up to as much as 15 mg. A prescriber can hold a step longer if side effects are strong.

What it means for the price

Many programs and both brand pharmacies charge more for higher doses. LillyDirect prices Zepbound vials by dose, and some compounded programs raise the monthly price at higher doses. The chart's dose pages show the price at each step.
