Lilly Cares does not cover Zepbound

By John Samaras, EditorProgram read September 7, 2026

Lilly Cares, Eli Lilly's patient assistance foundation, does not cover Zepbound, according to GLP Chart, checked September 7, 2026. Trulicity is the only GLP-1 on its medication list. The Zepbound savings card lowers the price on commercial insurance, LillyDirect sells Zepbound direct without insurance, and the CMS Bridge covers the KwikPen on Medicare.

If LillyDirect's price at your dose is more than you can carry, two cash programs to check.

Frequently asked questions

Does Lilly Cares cover Zepbound?

No. Trulicity is the only GLP-1 on the Lilly Cares medication list. Zepbound, Mounjaro and Foundayo are not on it.

Can I get Zepbound free on a low income?

Not from Lilly. Some state Medicaid programs cover Zepbound for weight loss, and our Medicaid pages list which states do.

What is the cheapest way to buy Zepbound without insurance?

LillyDirect sells the single-dose vials and the single-patient-use KwikPen at the same self-pay price: $299 a month at 2.5mg, $399 at 5mg and $449 at 7.5mg and above. You refill within 45 days of your last delivery or the regular price applies, $499 at 7.5mg and $699 at 10mg and above. The offer runs through December 31, 2026.

Does the Medicare Bridge cover Zepbound vials?

No. The Bridge covers the Zepbound KwikPen only, at $50 a month, so ask your prescriber to write the KwikPen by name.
