TrumpRx with insurance or Medicare: who can use the prices

By John Samaras, EditorPrices read September 10, 2026

TrumpRx prices are for people paying cash, so your insurance pays none of the bill. If you have a plan you can still buy at a TrumpRx price, but you agree not to bill the plan or count the cost toward your deductible. On Medicare, the GLP-1 Bridge costs $50 a month if you qualify, less than any TrumpRx GLP-1 price.

If you are paying cash anyway, two cash programs to check.

  1. Strut Health$149 a month, with auto-refillcompounded semaglutide, not FDA-approvedCheck price
  2. Shed$199 a monthcompounded semaglutide, not FDA-approvedCheck price

Who can buy

  • A resident of the US, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, the Northern Mariana Islands or American Samoa.
  • Aged 18 or older.
  • With a valid prescription for the drug.
  • Paying cash.

What you agree to if you have a plan

  1. You do not ask your plan to pay you back.
  2. You do not count the cost toward your deductible or out-of-pocket limit.
  3. If your plan asks, you tell it you bought the drug outside the plan on the maker's self-pay offer.

From the terms on each GLP-1 page on TrumpRx and its FAQ, read September 10, 2026. The terms name Medicare, Part D, Medicare Advantage, VA, TRICARE and Medicaid among the plans the agreement applies to. The Wegovy pill offer adds that government beneficiaries are excluded.

On Medicare

If you qualify, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge is $50 a month for Wegovy, Foundayo and the Zepbound KwikPen. Check in four questions. If you do not qualify, what you pay instead.

With commercial insurance

Check your copay first. TrumpRx itself says an insured patient's plan price may be lower. If your plan covers the drug, a maker savings card can cut the copay further: the Wegovy card and the Zepbound card.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my insurance on TrumpRx?

No. TrumpRx prices are for cash-paying patients only. Check your plan's copay first. It may be lower.

Can Medicare patients use TrumpRx?

The offers let you pay cash as long as you do not bill Medicare for the fill. The Wegovy pill offer excludes government beneficiaries.

Do I need an account on TrumpRx?

No. TrumpRx needs no account and charges nothing. Your prescription goes to your pharmacy, not to TrumpRx.
