Methodology

Last updated: 2 May 2026

GLP Chart ranks United States weight loss programs using a published, repeatable framework. Every program we review is scored against the same criteria, in the same way.

What we cover

We focus on cash-pay weight loss programs available to U.S. residents. Programs are eligible for review if they hold current LegitScript healthcare certification, operate in at least one U.S. state, and offer either coaching, prescription medication management, combination care, or tied-product subscription plans.

Scoring framework

Each program receives a score across five dimensions. Each dimension is weighted equally:

1. Pricing transparency (1-10)

2. Cancellation terms (1-10)

3. Onboarding experience (1-10)

4. Medication options (1-10)

5. Member-reported outcomes (1-10)

How we collect data

Pricing and policies are gathered weekly from each provider's public-facing website and verified through anonymous purchase flow walkthroughs. Member feedback is sourced from public forums (Reddit, Facebook groups) and program review sites, with verified-member posts weighted more heavily. We do not pay or solicit reviews.

What we don't do

Update cadence

Pricing tables are refreshed every Monday. Full program re-scores happen quarterly or whenever a program announces a material change to pricing, lock-in terms, or medication availability.
